Collection: MARCHÉ x HOUSE OF TAME -THE BROCADE COLLECTION

“I always do something different with Marché,” says Tame founder Shelby Anderson about the rich textiles used throughout our collaboration. Founded in 2017, Ohio-based Tame (named after the Pixies song sharing the same name) celebrates body positivity and inclusivity through vintage pieces that Anderson reimagines. Our latest collaboration reinforces that narrative with opulent brocade and tapestry patchwork spread across a vintage denim landscape.

The patchwork is a combination of deadstock samples, thrifted scraps and pieces from Anderson’s own collection. They were destined to be a quilt, but with the encouragement of Anderson’s very own babushka, turned into an explosive mix of vibrant patchwork jeans, shirts and cut-off mini skirts that are one-of-a-kind. The pathwork technique was also passed down by Anderson’s grandmother, making each one infused with her personal touch.
